On 13 October 2019, KD Kid Dad, Ryan Mitchell took part in the Melbourne Half Marathon to raise money and awareness for Kawasaki Disease.
Ryan’s daughter Aurora Mitchell was diagnosed with KD at 7 weeks of age. She was misdiagnosed on a number of occasions leading her to go into Cardiac Arrest. She has 2 giant and 2 large aneurysms and is on blood thinners.

Ryan raised over $500 for the Foundation. This was Ryan’s first half marathon but definitely not his last. Ryan & his wife, Meagan (who is also the Foundation’s President) will be doing lots of runs this year in order to raise awareness of Kawasaki Disease.
