The Kawasaki Disease Foundation Australia is delighted to welcome Dr Marie Ishida as the Kawasaki Disease Research Fellow with the OPTIMAL Centre of Research Excellence.
Marie’s fellowship is supported by the Kawasaki Disease Foundation Australia and OPTIMAL. Her research will help us better understand access, timing and outcomes of immunoglobulin use as a therapy in Kawasaki disease. She will use health data to identify opportunities to improve healthcare and inform future policy and practice.
Marie recently completed her PhD in Public Health at the University of Melbourne and brings expertise in public health research. Before becoming a researcher, she worked as a nurse, giving her valuable firsthand experience caring for patients.
