Applications now open: Kawasaki Disease Research Fellowship – Supported by the OPTIMAL CRE and Kawasaki Disease Foundation

The OPTIMAL Centre of Research Excellence (CRE), in partnership with the Kawasaki Disease Foundation, is seeking a Research Fellow to lead and contribute to research aimed at improving outcomes for children affected by Kawasaki disease.

This role will focus on understanding how access to and timing of intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) treatment influences clinical and economic outcomes in Kawasaki disease. The research will use national healthcare datasets to help identify opportunities to improve diagnosis, treatment access, and health outcomes for children across Australia.

The position is based within the Transfusion Research Unit at Monash University’s School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine. We welcome applications from early career researchers, clinicians, and individuals with expertise or interest in health economics, epidemiology, or health systems research.
